Committees

Decision-making and representation of the Leibniz ScienceCampus (LSC) involve three bodies: Board of Directors, Steering Committee and Scientific Advisory Board. The LSC is led by the Board of Directors (BoD) in which all participating institutions are represented. The BoD is responsible for the overall direction and the quality management of the LSC, based on the decisions of the Steering Committee. The BoD appoints two speakers affiliated with the two principal investigators, who lead the BoD and represent the LSC externally. The LSC Management acts under the responsibility of the Speakers.

The Steering Committee (SC), composed of the two speakers of the BoD and two representatives of each research area respectively, ensures the cooperation between the participating institutions and the research areas within the scope and mission of the LSC. In doing so, it decides upon all collaborative activities of the LSC and LSC employment, and approves the operating and capital budgets. The SC also exercises review and approval of proposed research and approval concerning the overall direction of the LSC. The SC meets at least four times per year. The SC appoints two speakers who lead and represent the SC externally.

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), composed of five internationally renowned scholars a-pointed by the BoD meeting once per year, will advise the LSC on all matters of research, research dissemination and quality management.
