CfP: EEGA/CAS conference „Revolutions and Transformations in Global Perspective, 1989-2019“

The ScienceCampus kindly invites you to the conference of the Centre for Area Studies and Collaborative Research Centre 1199 in cooperation with EEGA on “Revolutions and Transformations in Global Perspective, 1989-2019”.

The conference is especially interesting as it also serves as the Annual Conference of the EEGA ScienceCampus.
The conference takes place on the 12th-14th of June 2019 at the Centre for Area Studies and Collaborative Research Centre 1199, Leipzig University.

The organizers invite global historians, social scientists and area studies specialists from all world regions to submit abstracts for papers that will address any of the topics in the document you will find attached and will preferably be based on new archival and other material. Transregional perspectives will be privileged. The conference’s organizing committee will select from the abstracts roughly 30 papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the conference proceedings.
The organizers ask for 300-word abstracts by 28 February 2019 to:

Additionally we kindly invite you to propose topics for an EEGA Panel. Please send your ideas on specific EEGA topics to the EEGA coordination (L_Dallywater@ifl-leipzig.de; M_Mienert@ifl-leipzig.de) in advance.

For the presentation of EEGA specific topics travel costs can be granted by EEGA.
