Dekoder.org publication: Critical Voices on the War from Belarus and Russia

Die Plattform dekoder.org, mit der der EEGA sehr verbunden ist, nicht zuletzt durch Leonid Klimov, der Mitglied unseres Medienbeirates  ist, hat kürzlich ein Buch veröffentlicht. „DAS IST EIN OZEAN AUS WAHNSINN“ – Kritische Stimmen zum Krieg aus Belarus und Russland erschien Ende Februar im Verlag edition.fotoTAPETA.

In Russland und Belarus hält sich ein von Ver­ant­wor­tung, Scham und Schuld und von Wi­der­stands­willen getragener Diskurs, der sich gegen den rus­sischen Krieg wendet. Bis zum Jahr 2021 gab es für die kritische Rede in Russland noch Platz in unab­hängigen Medien; sie alle wurden im er­sten Kriegs­jahr liquidiert oder sind ab­ge­wan­dert und als Exil­medien aktiv. Dort formt sich wieder ein gewisser Raum für freies Denken. Gleiches gilt für die un­ab­hän­gigen bela­rus­sischen Medien, die bereits seit den histo­rischen Protesten von  2020 außer Landes ge­trieben wurden. Das Online-Medium dekoder.org hat diesen Diskurs­prozess in Russland und Belarus über das erste Kriegs­jahr begleitet. In Russia and Belarus, a discourse is persisting that is borne by responsibility, shame and guilt, and by a will to resist, and which opposes the Russian war. Until 2021, there was still room for critical speech in independent media in Russia; they were all liquidated in the first year of the war or have migrated and are active as exile media. There, a certain space for free thought is forming again. The same applies to the independent Belarusian media, which have already been driven out of the country since the historic protests of 2020. The online medium dekoder.org has accompanied this discourse process in Russia and Belarus over the first year of the war. The pamphlet published by edition.fotoTAPETA gathers central contributions from this process.
