GWZO Lecture Series: A Panorama of Children’s and Youth Literature in Eastern Europe
The lecture series is dedicated to children’s literature from Eastern Europe in six lectures. Using texts and films as well as other artefacts, the richness of Eastern Europe in terms of themes, forms, media, narratives, poetics, imagery and above all stories will be made visible to young readers. The question of how the region itself appears in literature is also exciting. The series explicitly addresses non-experts, readers who are always thirsty for stories, enthusiastic educators and teachers, (grand)parents who read aloud for Good Night, the people of Leipzig and, with two further events, directly children who have always wanted to see the inside of a scientific institute and join in.
Date: Lectures every Wednesday, 5 pm c.t. (children’s events in the morning)
Venue: GWZO, Specks Hof (entrance A), 4th floor, conference room, Reichsstraße 4-6, 04109 Leipzig
Please register to participate via video (hybrid).
The lecture series is a cooperation with the DGO, Leipzig Office.
