Conference Information

Registration

Registration for the conference is possible via our conference partner RSA: https://www.regionalstudies.org/events/2024cee/#!

Early bird rates are valid until 8 July.

The RSA offers different rates for members and non-members and has tiered members’ conference fees depending on your career stage. If you are not an RSA member, then now is a good time to join the community to benefit from a discounted conference fee in addition to accessing journals, policy impact books, professional development resources, funding opportunities, discounts and more. Signing up as an RSA member will offer you a discounted conference rate, so registering as a member and then then registering for the conference is likely to be cheaper than paying the non-members rate. For more details on membership categories, bands, benefits and rates, please see the relevant career-stage category at www.regionalstudies.org/about/memberships  or get in touch with Alex Holmes at alex.holmes@regionalstudies.org.

Instructions for Presenters

The conference is taking place in lecture venues that are equipped for presentations. There will be a computer and a projector in the rooms. If you have a PPT, please bring it with you on a USB stick. Arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the panel to prepare the technical setup. Each presenter should present for no longer than 15 minutes, at most. This should leave enough time for questions and discussion.

Instructions for Panel Chairs

  • Please maintain good time management, using ‘5 minute’ and ‘1 minute’ warnings.
  • Briefly, introduce yourself and welcome the participants to your session, introducing each presenter.
  • During the discussion kindly manage time and the tone of discussion and try to make sure that each presenter gets some questions.
  • Please feel free to share your views, reflections, observations and comments on the presentation and prepare for meaningful discussions. However, note that a chair is not expected to provide a formal response to the papers.
  • Please ensure that panels do not run after the end time since the venues are in use constantly.
