New Research Grant and Fellowship Opportunities with Application Deadlines in June 2024
There are two interesting opportunities for scholars interested in Eastern Europe:
Research Grant „Max Weber Netzwerk Osteuropa“
Application Deadline: June 1, 2024
The „Max Weber Netzwerk Osteuropa“ is offering a one- to three-month research grant for archive research on historical topics in post-Soviet states (excluding Russia and Belarus) and Finland between August 1 and December 31 2024. The grant is open to early-career scholars in the humanities and social sciences affiliated with German universities or research institutions. Research Fellowship „Culture and History of the Germans in Northeast Europe“
Application Deadline: June 16, 2024
The Nordost-Institut (IKGN e. V.) in Lüneburg, affiliated with the University of Hamburg and sponsored by the Federal Commissioner for Culture and Media, is offering a research fellowship starting September 1, 2024. This fellowship supports historical research on the connections between German history and Northeast European regions with a monthly scholarship of 2,800 euros, for a total of one to two months.
