About myself and my project: Effects and adaptation of climate change in the Barents Region: How should s adaptation towards the impact of Climate Change in the Barents Region look like?
Currently I am a fellow of the graduated program at the ScienceCampus EEGA and within this scholarship I am writing my Bachelor thesis. I am studying geography (BSc) at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.
My research Project is: Effects and adaptation of climate change in the Barents Region: How should s adaptation towards the impact of Climate Change in the Barents Region look like?
This research will discuss the effects of climate change in the Barents Region as well as the adaptation. Therefore, the environmental situation and economic interests especially the oil and gas production sector are analyzed. Furthermore, it will point out the adaptation strategies on conserving the nature implemented by individuals or administrative organizations acting in the Arctic region. The aim is to examine the effectiveness and feasibility of those implemented strategies and to create more awareness on a sustainable behavior.
